Privacy Policy
We built this app to be private by design. Here’s the honest, plain-English version: your data stays on your device. We don’t have servers collecting it, we don’t have accounts, and we don’t sell anything. Below is the detail.
The short version
- Everything you type into the app is saved in your own browser (using a feature called
localStorage). - It does not leave your device and does not come to us. We can’t see it.
- No accounts. No login. No payments.
- No tracking cookies. No ad tech. Plausible gives us aggregate, cookie-free usage counts only.
- We never sell or share your data — because we don’t have it.
- If we ever offer a waitlist or newsletter, joining is opt-in and totally up to you.
What data we collect
For the app itself: none that reaches us. The app runs entirely in your browser.
- What you enter stays local. Your entries, settings, and progress are stored on your device using your browser’s
localStorage. That storage belongs to your browser. We don’t receive it, transmit it, or keep a copy. - No account data. There’s no sign-up, so there’s no name, email, or password to collect for using the app.
- No payment data. The app is free, so there’s nothing to charge.
If a specific app ever needs to handle data differently, we’ll say so clearly inside that app and update this policy.
How your local data works (and how to delete it)
Because your data lives in your browser:
- It stays only on the device and browser you used. It won’t follow you to another phone, laptop, or browser.
- You can delete it anytime by using any “clear” or “reset” option in the app, or by clearing your browser’s site data / storage for the app.
- It can disappear on its own if you clear your browser data, use private/incognito mode, or if your browser cleans up storage. So if something matters, keep your own backup. We can’t recover it for you, because we never had it.
Cookies and tracking
We don't use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or cross-site trackers, and we don't run analytics that profile you across the web. We use Plausible Analytics for aggregate, cookie-free pageview and product-event counts so we can see whether the app is working. Plausible does not give us the contents of your local app data, form fields, notes, workouts, family details, prompts, or other entries. The app may use your browser's local storage purely to make the app work on your device - not to track you. We do not sell or share data for ad targeting.
Children’s privacy
This app isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (we don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone). If you’re a parent or guardian and believe a child has somehow provided personal information to us, contact us at hello@apps4that.com and we’ll address it. Because the app stores data only on the device, a parent or guardian can also clear it directly in the browser. Older minors should use the app with a parent or guardian’s involvement, as described in our Terms of Use.
A future waitlist or newsletter (opt-in only)
We may someday offer a way to join a waitlist or get product updates by email. If we do:
- It will be strictly opt-in — you choose to give us your email; nothing is collected automatically.
- We’ll use that email only for what you signed up for (like updates or launch news).
- We won’t sell or rent it.
- You can unsubscribe anytime.
- We’ll update this policy to describe exactly how it works before we turn anything like that on.
Until then, there’s no email collection happening here.
How we share data
We don’t, because we don’t collect it. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. The only ways data could ever be shared in the future would be: with a service provider strictly to run an opt-in feature you chose (like an email list), to comply with the law, or as part of a business transfer — and we’d disclose that here first.
Security
We’ve designed the app to keep data on your device, which avoids a lot of risk. That said, no method of storage is perfectly secure, and the security of data in your browser also depends on your device and browser. Please use a device and browser you trust, and keep them updated.
Your choices
- Don’t want data stored? Use the app’s reset/clear option, or your browser’s tools to clear site storage.
- Don’t want to be on any future list? Simply don’t opt in.
- Have a privacy question or request? Email us.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date above. If we make a material change (like adding any data collection), we’ll make that clear. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept it.
